The first job of the stills photographer is to capture an iconic image that makes the viewer want to add it to their “must want watchlist”. But that's just the start!

During this Coffee Talk, Chris Large will discuss all the different & complex elements of working as a movie & TV set photographer. Chris will discuss everything you need to document, including BTS (behind the scenes), portrait shots of the main actors in character, key action shots of the big explosions & gun fights, all while staying out of shot & the actor's eye-line. He will get into the complexity of working with unions while being a part of one, the on set food chain and pecking order, the trust that you need to cultivate from the actors, the onset low-key profile and how the 1st AD and the boom man are your best friends. He will also touch on shooting the “Bigs”, one of the hardest photo gigs to ever get, but for Chris, the most challenging and rewarding jobs that he could ever dream of!
