How I Got the Shot
Ahu Akivi moai on Easter Island is one of the most mystical spots I've ever photographed. But the statues are not lit at night, they sit in total darkness. I set my NEX 6 with an adapted 24mm f/2 lens on a tripod and used a high ISO and a remote trigger to open the shutter while I painted the statues with the light from a small LED flashlight. The great quality of the NEX 6 at high ISO's made the image possible.
