He likes to use his Sony Alpha 1 for low light and night photography, and we love this light painted selfie he captured in Joshua Tree by pairing the camera with his Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 G Master. Follow him for more visually compelling frames in your feed.

Andrew Eggers – @andreweggers

Sony Alpha Ambassador Andrew Eggers has created many long exposure light trail images throughout his creative career, always leveling up his creativity. (Note: Read Falling Stars In Zion: How An Astrophotographer Created This Long Exposure Light Trail). We love this long exposure ferris wheel shot he snapped in Sacramento. Follow him to see more unique use of light and learn more about Eggers in Alpha Profile Spotlight: See How Photography Unlocked This Collective Member’s Creativity.

Fei Tang – @phives

Sony Alpha Ambassador Fei Tang utilizes vibrant colors and dynamic compositions to make his photography stand out. During #SonyKandoTrip, he created his epic long exposure shot playing with lights and featuring the Sony Honda AFEELA Prototype. This shot was taken on his Sony Alpha 1 and Sony 14mm f/1.8 G Master, and his settings were 13-sec., f/9, ISO 125.

Vanessa Franking – @vanessafranking

Vanessa Franking is a world traveler, photographer and member of the Sony Alpha Female Facebook Group. She’s also a member of the Burning Man Documentation Team and Bombay Beach Bienalle Media Team – so she gets plenty of opportunities to document play with light using her Sony Alpha 7 IV. We’re obsessed with this silky light painting long exposure shot she took in Tahoe – follow her for more beautiful photography featuring light painting.

Himanshu Sharma – @himachophotography

Creator Himanshu Sharma used steel wool to create the light trails in this image he took in Nubra Valley, Ladakh. He captured this shot using his Sony Alpha 7 IV and Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 G Master, and his settings were 20-sec., f/2.8, ISO 5000.

Terry McLaughlin – @asteryx

Photographer Terry McLaughlin took these shots with his Sony Alpha 1 and Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master – and we love the way he captured the sparks from the car! He writes, “Los Angeles is the heart of lowrider culture, a vibrant and expressive movement that began in the Mexican and African American communities in the 1940s and 1950s. This culture centers around customizing classic cars to ride low and slow, often with intricate paint jobs, hydraulic systems, and detailed interiors. The lowrider scene is not just about cars; it’s a celebration of identity, artistry, and community.” Follow Terry for more.

Finn Haley – @southoptic

Finn Haley is a London-based photographer who loves to shoot at night while incorporating the city’s different lights in the frame. @de.herrera

We love a long exposure light trail above LA traffic. Photographer @de.herrera took this long exposure in Los Angeles with the Sony Alpha 7R II and Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 G Master. We love how clean the trails are and how many he was able to capture in one frame!
