SLRLounge Suggests First Lenses For α7-Series Shooters

Bing Putney, writing in SLRLounge, prefaces his suggestions for the first lenses for a Sony α7-series photographer:

"Sony has created a bit of a phenomenon with their α7 and its siblings and successors. The full frame, mirrorless powerhouse boasts incredible image quality and a class-leading feature set, all in a remarkably small body. However, a great camera is useless without some equally impressive glass mounted onto the front of it, and as the system has matured, α7 owners now have a bevy of lens options to match the performance of their sensors."

We couldn't agree more.

Being a prime lens aficionado, Putney gives his take on the benefits of the 55mm f/1.8 as a workhorse and the 35mm f/2.8 as a super-compact walk-around lens. He also extolls the virtues of the 16-35mm f/4 and the 24-70mm f/4 as solid options for those times when you can't zoom with your feet.
