In a video on Tony and Chelsea Northrup’s YouTube Channel the popular reviewers and commentators on all things photography have announced the winners of the 2019 Pixel Awards and the Sony α7R IV has won Camera of the Year ($2,000+). Here’s some of what Tony and Chelsea had to say about the camera and why they chose it as the winner of their biggest award.
YouTube reviewers Tony & Chelsea Northrup share why the Sony α7R IV earned their Pixel Award for Camera Of The Year.
“A good all around camera that both [Chelsea] and I decided that we would adopt as our main daily cameras. Portraits, landscapes, wildlife, even some sports – it’s kind of the camera that can do it all. It’s not a huge upgrade from the α7R III but it fixes some important things like improving the grip, improving the weather sealing, improving the viewfinder – all stuff that we genuinely appreciate.” – Tony Northrup
“Highest megapixel full frame camera on the list. The resolution is amazing. I used it to make a huge print, it turned out really beautiful. So congratulations Sony.” – Chelsea Northrup
