“If you’re already using any of the other a6000 bodies, this is going to be a huge upgrade because Sony has made real strides in terms of its video recording and codecs. You’re getting 10-bit recording in this, S-log-3 Profile, S-Cinetone if you don’t want to do a lot of heavy grading. It’s a very full featured camera. - Jordan Drake
“Rest assured, if you’re a Sony shooter looking for a hybrid APS-C camera, this is the best option out there right now.” - Jordan Drake
“It’s very functional and I really enjoyed using it here. We also do have some nice improvements to image quality. We have some nice improvements to autofocus. I mean these are all big changes that are important, but video is really the huge change here. This has now become an incredibly effective hybrid camera and there’s a lot to be said for that.” - Chris Niccolls
Gerald Undone
“This is the long-awaited successor to Sony’s popular, but dated, A6000 series of APS-C cameras. And compared to the previous cameras in that lineup, this is a huge upgrade, a much bigger upgrade than the name of this camera would suggest. They’re calling it the a6700, but that doesn’t do it any justice considering it’s basically an FX30, but in a hybrid body, for significantly less money. And when looking at the feature set, it might just offer the best value of any camera available to date, Sony or otherwise.” – Gerald Undone
“For a true hybrid shooter, for this price, I don’t think there’s a more capable or feature-rich camera available at the moment.” – Gerald Undone
Arthur R
"It's genius. It's innovative. It's revolutionary. You watch this camera at work as it tracks people and it simply blows your mind. No other camera manufacturer out there will give you this level of autofocus of subject tracking no matter how much money you give them." - Arthur R.
"I can't wait to get my own and I can't wait to use it more. It has breathed new life into this APS-C lineup. The 10-bit colors, the S-Cinetone...these are really big, significant features that have been missing from this lineup." - Arthur R.
Mark Bennett’s Camera Crisis
“This, in my opinion, is the best value hybrid camera in Sony’s lineup by a fair bid, and one of the best content creation cameras ever made.” – Mark Bennett
Mark Galer’s Alpha Creative Skills
“Here we are, 2023, and we finally have the Alpha 6700 camera. And it ticks all the boxes. It’s got that Exmor R Back-Illuminated Sensor, the Bionx XR processor, the UHS-II card slots, Active Steady Shot, the side flip monitor, the .7 finder magnification which is superior to the one we find on the Alpha 7C. We’ve got the touch icons and menus that we’ve seen appear on the ZV-E1. We’ve got a front dial as well as a rear dial, something that will be very, very popular. We’ve got 4:2:2 10-bit movies, multiple custom keys, more than we find on the Alpha 7C, we’ve got that AI subject recognition that we first saw on the Alpha 7R V, the Active Steady Shot, 120p 4K, that’s going to make a lot of movies makers excited. We’ve got the digital audio multi-interface shoe, we’ve got fast 5GHz WiFi transfer, and we’ve got that USB 3.2 Output. There’s many more…” – Mark Galer
Jason Vong
“This is a nice middle ground between the ZV-E10 and the FX30. It gives us exactly what we need at a fair price point.” – Jason Vong
Julia Trotti
“I think this is a really fantastic crop-frame camera from Sony with a great feature set for both photo and video.” – Julia Trotti

"The autofocus on this camera is absolutely incredible. It's this new autofocus that Sony has that is powered by AI. It's super fast and accurate, and you can also mess with the sensitivity so you can make it really smooth when it transitions so it doesn't get jerky and all that. And it can now also recognize a bunch of different objects depending on what you are shooting. I'm just going to leave it at that - I think this autofocus system is incredibly good. I mean Sony is just always upping its game. I thought that the autofocus was good even on the A6400, you know, on the previous camera, but they've just taken it to a whole other level with autofocus and this camera is equipped with that." – ARNÚLFUR (That Icelandic Guy)
