Zach – @iamzachwould
What’s more summer than fun times on the boardwalk? Photographer Zach snapped this shot at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with his Sony Alpha 7R III and Sony 35mm f/1.4 G Master. His tip to get shots like these? “The vibrant colors of the swings contrast beautifully with the deep blue hues of the ocean and sky. You can feel the energy through this photo. But how do you capture a place constantly in motion with over 40 rides and attractions? The secret is slower shutter speeds between 1/6 and 1/15th. The slower the shutter speed, the more the motion of the subject is blurred.”
