Amid the slew of first looks and initial hands on reviews from last week's stunning announcement of the Sony α9, the focus for most was on the camera's place for photojournalists, professional sports and wildlife photographers. In this video, Manny Ortiz and Max Yuryev discuss the camera's still photography attributes and why it's also the best camera for wedding photographers.
"I think this camera is a wedding photographer's camera." -Manny Ortiz
In Max and Manny's discussion they also discuss how they've come to use and rely on Sony's eye auto focus feature and how it's been further improved in the α9. Manny characterizes eye auto focus as "probably the number one feature I use. I require it in my cameras, now." Max responds, "When a camera company does something right and it works so well and you experience how many more shots you can get with the feature, you just want it. It's the same thing with the eye auto focus. It's amazing. I was reading in the specs that they improved it by 30%."
